Stars out for Wendy's wedding
Cancer-stricken Wendy Richard and new husband John Burns smiled and waved after their star-studded wedding today.
Guests attending the nuptials at a hotel in London's Mayfair included Todd Carty - Wendy's on-screen son in EastEnders, Mark Fowler.
Other stars from the soap were Perry Fenwick (Billy Mitchell), Laila Morse (Mo Harris) and Natalie Cassidy - Pauline's daughter-in-law Sonia.
The ex-EastEnder, 65, who has beaten cancer twice before, brought the ceremony forward as she begins treatment for cancer on Monday.
One guest said a pianist entertained guests by playing Glenn Miller jazz classics as background music.
Another guest, holding a glass of champagne, described it as a "joyous occasion, while Wendy's Cairn terrier, Lily "barked right on time".
As the couple left after the three-hour ceremony, the pavement was strewn with red-petal confetti.
The couple got into a stretch-Saab with blacked-out windows, and Mr Burns waved Lily's paw before the couple left.
Around 60 family members and close friends are thought to have attended the civil ceremony and reception. The couple have been together for 13 years and he is 20 years her junior.
