John Middleton (Ashley) knows who the real star of Emmerdale is. For him, it's not the superbitches or the hunks.
"A lot of people watch because it looks beautiful. The one star of the show is the village itself and the beautiful countryside it's set in," he explains.
"What we've got is what the other soaps don't have," he adds. Sadly, the heart of that village is under threat – Ashley's church might close!
Roxanne Pallett's tearing around doing her final scenes – which sometimes means she has meals on the go.
"My schedule's so hectic I just have to grab food when I can," she confesses. "Breakfast tends to be a banana or a smoothie; lunch a soup or jacket potato; perhaps a stir-fry for dinner.
"I also love a bar of chocolate or some dessert in the afternoon," she adds. No wonder she's slim!
