Veteran star Larry Lamb is chuffed to be playing Peggy Mitchell's new love interest – her brother-in-law, Archie.
"There's something between them that goes way back – an element of unrequited love," he explains. "Plus, I find it a bit more satisfying to have the stability of a regular job."
Larry, who starred in the '80s soap Triangle, also admits to dreaming about on-screen snogs with Barbara Windsor.
Sid Owen's a giggler on set. "I couldn't help but laugh when I worked with Mike Reid, as Frank. And I really get the giggles with Patsy," he grins.
"Me and Patsy are like brother and sister. We've known each other since we were seven, so we have that chemistry.
"And we have a laugh filming – too much of a laugh sometimes," he admits. Happily, there's now more on-screen comedy too.
