Safina second in rankings

Dinara Safina became the fourth Russian to move into the top two of the women's world rankings after her semi-final showing at the Kremlin Cup.

Compatriot Vera Zvonareva, who beat Safina before falling to Jelena Jankovic in the final, also improves in the standings to a career-high eighth.

David Ferrer climbs to sixth in the men's world rankings while Andy Roddick is up to sixth in the Champions Race.
