Pedestrians warned about MP3 players
Deafness Research UK is encouraging pedestrians to remove the headphones on their MP3 players and iPods while crossing the road.
Chief executive Vivienne Michael said: "MP3 players are here to stay.
"But parents need to realise that there is an increased risk of injury or death on the roads when children and teenagers are unable to hear properly because of the loud music."
