BOXING: Hatton to bring out tricks

Ricky Hatton is looking forward to reawakening his boxing talents when he fights Paulie Malignaggi this weekend.

The Hitman believes new trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr can bring out the best in him once more after what he feels has been a series of one-dimensional bouts.

He said: "People say you can't teach old dogs new tricks but I've always had those tricks. Working with Floyd, he's brought it right out of my locker."

Hatton ready to box clever

Ricky Hatton admits his come-forward style is no longer adequate to beat the best in the business as he prepares to face Paulie Malignaggi this weekend.

Hatton admits he "just bulldozed in" against Luis Collazo, Jose Luis Castillo and Floyd Mayweather Jr.

But he said: "You can't do that at this level and that is what has been drilled into me again. I began to feel like I had an invisible shield around me."

Haye may face Vitali: Booth

Vitali Klitschko is the likely opponent for David Haye's world heavyweight title shot, according to his manager.

Haye was expected to fight IBF, IBO and WBO champion Wladimir Klitschko next year, but his older brother and WBC king is being lined up instead.

Manager Adam Booth told Setanta Sports News: "At first they were talking about Wladimir, now they pull Wladimir out and offer me Vitali."
