Ron set for early return
Manchester United's Portugal playmaker Cristiano Ronaldo is set for an early return from injury in the Champions League clash against Villarreal.
Ronaldo was expected to be out until October after surgery on an ankle problem, but boss Sir Alex Ferguson revealed the player is in his plans.
Ferguson said: "Ronaldo is training now, he's with the first team. He's come on leaps and bounds."
Fergie in City warning
Sir Alex Ferguson has warned Manchester City having the most cash does not guarantee they will have the best team.
City's new-found wealth has already seen them flex their muscle in impressive fashion, smashing the British transfer record by spending £32.5m on Brazilian superstar Robinho.
Ferguson said: "It is very difficult to say what will happen with City but having money does not always work."
