England call for Hipkiss
Leicester centre Dan Hipkiss has been called into the England squad for the tour to New Zealand as a replacement for injured fly-half Danny Cipriani.
The 25-year-old, who has won six caps, replaces Cipriani, who faces six months out after fracturing and dislocating his ankle while playing for Wasps.
England manager Martin Johnson said: "We have good cover at fly-half so we went for Dan, who gives us options."
Hipkiss sorry for Danny
Dan Hipkiss was full of sympathy for Danny Cipriani after he was called up to the England squad following the fly- half's horrific ankle injury.
Leicester centre Hipkiss was picked by Martin Johnson to tour New Zealand after Cipriani fractured and dislocated his ankle playing for Wasps.
Hipkiss said: "I obviously cannot help but feel for Danny and his injury, and my thoughts are with him."
