Parry blasts Uefa call

Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry has hit out at Uefa after his club's Champions League game against Atletico Madrid was switched to a neutral venue.

The Spanish side were handed a three- match stadium ban, one of them suspended, after racist chanting during their Group D clash with Marseille.

Parry said: "To say this is a bit late in the day is to put it mildly. It will cause major disruption for our fans."

Reds face Atletico switch

Liverpool's Champions League opponents Atletico Madrid have been ordered by Uefa to play their next two home European games at a neutral venue.

Atletico have been fined £117,000 and must play Liverpool and PSV Eindhoven over 200 miles from Madrid, after crowd trouble against Marseille this month.

Coach Javier Aguirre has also been banned from the return game at Anfield after he insulted Marseille players.
