Injury scare for Cole
Chelsea defender Ashley Cole suffered an injury scare ahead of the Champions League final following a two-footed tackle from team-mate Claude Makelele.
Makelele caught Cole's standing right ankle during a training session at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium and received lengthy treatment from medical staff.
If Cole fails to shake off the knock his place looks certain to be taken by England team-mate Wayne Bridge.
Drogba may stay a Blue
Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has revealed he could still be playing at Stamford Bridge next season.
The Ivory Coast frontman declared in October that this would be his last season at Chelsea, with a host of top clubs said to be interested in him.
But Drogba told France Football: "I'm not as firm and decisive as I was a few months ago. My family feel good in London and I do too."
Lamps focused on final
Frank Lampard insists he will sit down with Chelsea and discuss his future this summer but is adamant he is fully focused on the Champions League final.
The England midfielder has been linked with a move to Inter Milan although Chelsea have denied contact with them.
Lampard said: "My future will be sorted out. Myself and the club have said we want to speak about it in the summer. Now is not the time to think about it."
Grant: It's not about me
Chelsea boss Avram Grant did not wish to be drawn on his future at the club ahead of the Champions League final.
Grant's immediate future at Stamford Bridge remains a hot topic of conversation with Frank Rijkaard and Guus Hiddink tipped to replace him.
When asked about his situation, Grant said: "You need to respect everyone at Chelsea and ask questions about the final, not about me."
Terry eager for victory
Chelsea captain John Terry is determined to emerge victorious from the "biggest game" of his career.
The Blues have suffered two semi-final defeats to Liverpool in recent years and Terry is determined to make the most of Chelsea's first Champions League final appearance.
Terry said: "I don't think anybody's underdogs. If it's a bad game so be it as long as we get the trophy."
Uefa: Pitch will be fine
Uefa have admitted they are "slightly worried" about the appearance of the pitch for Wednesday night's Champions League final in Moscow.
The grass at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium, where Manchester United face Chelsea, has come under scrutiny since it was laid over the artificial surface.
Uefa spokesman William Gaillard told BBC Sport: "We have made some tests in the last few days and it is fine."
