Blues launch Robinho bid
Chelsea have confirmed they have made an undisclosed offer for Real Madrid forward Robinho.
The club had previously named the Brazilian as their prime summer target following the earlier signings of Jose Bosingwa and Deco.
A statement on the Blues' official website read: "Further to reports, Chelsea can confirm we have made an offer to Real Madrid for Robinho."
Jose: No Lampard tears
Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho insists he is not about to cry over losing out in the quest to sign Frank Lampard.
The Chelsea midfielder was a target for the Serie A club, now managed by the former Blues boss, but instead opted to remain at Stamford Bridge.
Mourinho, who responded by signing Portsmouth's Sulley Muntari, told Sky Sports: "I am not the sort of manager who cries. I look forward and move on."
