Keane denies FA charge

Sunderland manager Roy Keane has denied an FA charge of improper conduct.

The charge relates to Keane's behaviour during the 5-0 defeat at Chelsea after he confronted referee Martin Atkinson in the tunnel at half-time.

Keane, who revealed that the referees' assessor had rung him after the game and acknowledged that two of the Chelsea goals should not have stood, requested a personal hearing.

Moyes hits out at FA

Everton boss David Moyes may be back in front of FA disciplinary bosses earlier than anticipated after labelling officials as "a law unto themselves".

Moyes was fined £5,000 this week after admitting his outburst at referee Alan Wiley during their 3-2 win at Stoke in September amounted to improper conduct.

Moyes said: "The panel agreed the referee was wrong, but I still got found guilty so there you go."
