Keegan defends comments

Manager Kevin Keegan has defended his comments over Newcastle's inability to reach the Premier League's top four.

Keegan faces a meeting with owner Mike Ashley today after suggesting the Magpies are "a million miles" away from Champions League qualification.

He said: "The majority of people you talk to who have a knowledge of the game realise that the top four has been the same for a long time."
