Manchester United got the win they needed to clinch the Premier League title thanks to goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Ryan Giggs at the JJB.
Emmerson Boyce brought down Wayne Rooney as he was about to pull the trigger and Ronaldo stepped up to dispatch the penalty (33).
And winger Giggs sealed it by slotting home Rooney's perfectly-weighted throughball in the 80th minute.

Ferguson relief at win
Sir Alex Ferguson admitted he felt anxious during Manchester United's game at Wigan before his side eventually clinched the title.
The Red Devils successfully defended their Premier League crown with a 2-0 win at the JJB Stadium.
He told Sky Sports. "It's fantastic but there were some nervous moments. All we could do was concentrate on our job. It's hard to block everything out."
Ronaldo hails 'best team'
Cristiano Ronaldo hailed Manchester United as the best team in the Premier League after they clinched the title with a 2-0 win at Wigan.
The Portuguese winger scored his 41st goal of the season from the penalty spot before Ryan Giggs sealed victory 10 minutes from time at the JJB.
Ronaldo told Sky Sports: "I think we have the best players and the best team. We deserve to be champions."
Bruce fuming over ref
Steve Bruce slammed ref Steve Bennett for three "unbelievable" decisions in Wigan's 2-0 loss to Manchester United.
Bruce claims Paul Scholes was lucky not to be sent off, while also fuming over the penalty his side were denied and the one they conceded at the JJB.
The Latics manager said: "You should ask the referee about his integrity, not about my team. Thankfully there was nothing riding on it for us."
