Girl alerts parents to fire
A seven-year-old Wolverhampton girl who woke to find her house on fire crawled through smoke to wake her parents, emergency crews have said.
Neighbours also spotted the fire, which had broken out in the kitchen of the Willenham property, and dialled 999.
A West Midlands Fire Service spokesman said the child had learned fire safety from watching television.
