Repaired lifeboat may be back
A lifeboat that was confiscated after the crew ignored safety regulations in a bid to rescue a girl could be back in service this week in south Devon.
The Maritime and Coastguard Agency's removal of the boat prompted widespread criticism, with 600 signing a petition.
The MCA said if the repaired vessel passes its inspection it can go back to the beach as a general purpose boat.
