Teenager died on canoe trip
A promising schoolboy footballer died after he came out of a canoe in Brecon, mid Wales, and was carried downstream by the current, a coroner has heard.
Powys Coroner Peter Maddox opened an inquest into the death of 13-year-old Stewart McEwan, who lived in Reading.
The coroner said the results of post-mortem tests were awaited and adjourned the inquest pending further reports.
