Veteran meets 'dead' comrade

A Second World War veteran has been reunited with a Somerset comrade who "died" in tank fire 67 years ago.

Harry Finlayson, 93, was presumed dead in 1941 after his tank was destroyed. Another body was given a funeral in his name but he had actually been captured.

The Bridgwater veteran met Eighth Army comrade Gerry Solomon, 92, after his survival was advertised in media.
