Mothers in epidural first
Women in labour at a Bristol hospital have become the first in the South West to be able to administer their own pain relief at the touch of a button.
St Michael's Hospital has given women control of their own epidurals, getting an extra dose of analgesic on demand.
Doctors said that after six months the new method is much better as it lets midwives spend more time on the birth.
