Eight go to court over drugs
Berwick magistrates have committed eight people arrested in the town for trial at Newcastle Crown Court on drugs charges including the supply of heroin.
Ian Dougal, 28, his wife Janine, 30, of Highcliffe, Spittal, together with Ian Chowles, 29, of West End, Tweedmouth, were all remanded in custody.
The others were released on bail following the arrests six weeks ago.
