Man jailed for eighth assault
A Hawick man has been jailed for 96 days and labelled "a danger to the community" at Jedburgh Sheriff Court after an eighth conviction for assault.
William Blackwood, 25, of Galalaw Road, admitted knocking a man to the ground and kicking him on the head outside the Queen's Head pub in High Street.
Sheriff Kevin Drummond said it was his fourth offence while under an Asbo.
