Digital TV take-up figure
Some 66% of all television sets in the region are able to receive digital broadcasts, it has been revealed.
Digital UK, the body set-up to co-ordinate the switchover, said readiness in TV regions throughout Britain differs widely.
The Tyne Tees region is highest at 89% and Anglia lowest at 53%. Some 18 million analogue TV sets remain in use.
