Warning over rural roads
Police in the Highlands have warned drivers of the dangers of inappropriate driving on country roads.
Northern Constabulary Insp John Smith said people tend to "switch off" when they are not on dual carriageways.
"Driving too fast for the condition of the road, the amount of traffic or the kind of weather conditions is a major cause of crashes," he said.
