An iron bar and bottle may have been used to attack a man from behind in Armagh City, police have said.

The victim, 32, suffered head and leg injuries during the vicious assault in an alleyway in the Lower English Street area.

He was taken to hospital. Police are appealing for anyone with information about the attack to come forward.
