PPS responds to criticism
The Public Prosecution Service has defended its decision to put Chris Ward in the dock over the £26.5m Northern Bank robbery in Belfast.
It was heavily criticised after the trial against Mr Ward collapsed.
But the PPS said in a statement that it is "impossible to know with certainty whether or not a conviction will be obtained in any particular case".
