Ice and snow shuts motorway
Ice and snow caused a temporary closure of the eastbound section of the M62 in Greater Manchester.
The road between junctions 21 at Shaw, near Oldham, and junction 22 to the Saddleworth Moors has since reopened.
Drivers were urged to take extra care on all roads after a blast of Arctic weather left large swathes of the country blanketed in snow.
