Murder probe after body find

A murder investigation has been launched after the discovery of a man's body in Skelmersdale, Lancashire.

Police officers were called to Abbeystead after a resident discovered the body at the rear of a property.

Det Supt Andy Webster said: "As yet, we haven't been able to identify the body. All we can say at this stage is that it is that of a white man."
