Library closed for makeover
A library which has been at the heart of one of Liverpool's most historic communities for more than a century has closed for a £1.3m makeover.
The city council bid for the cash from the Big Lottery Fund to transform Toxteth Library.
The Grade II-listed building on Windsor Street attracts 1,000 people a week but its facilities need updating.
