Police end death probe
Police investigating the death of an elderly resident at a Darlington care home are taking no further action.
Detectives had launched the probe after the 75-year-old man, a resident at the privately-run home, died at Darlington Memorial Hospital from blood poisoning.
A post-mortem examination confirmed he died of septicaemia, a bacterial infection of the blood.
