Birmingham's Frankfurt Christmas Market has joined the micro-blogging website Twitter.

Market organisers will use the site to issue updates about the 42-day market, which is the biggest of its kind outside Germany.

Councillors, market staff, traders and visitors can use the profile to write blogs about the festive stalls.
