Theft attempt witness plea
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man tried to steal a car from its 67-year-old owner in Midlothian.
The victim was sitting in his BMW in the car park of the Tesco store, in Edinburgh Road, Penicuik, when a man threatened, demanding his vehicle.
The pensioner shouted for help and the man ran off towards Ladybank. Police have appealed for witnesses.
