Crack has an away day
Emma Lavelle expects to find out at Chepstow whether she has a Champion Hurdle contender in Crack Away Jack.
The Fred Winter winner has been backed for the Festival contest in recent weeks and has to give weight to all 11 rivals in a 2m limited handicap hurdle.
Lavelle said: "He seems in good order and ready to go to the races. It will give us an idea of whether he has any Champion Hurdle pretensions or not."
Anything bar sticky
Conditions at Chepstow aren't expected to pose Crack Away Jack any problems on his return to action at Chepstow.
Trainer Emma Lavelle said: "I'd love to keep him in his box another month, but I'd be told by his owners to make sure we went to the races.
"He's a horse that's very light on his feet and will probably handle any ground bar sticky ground. I think it should be OK for him."
