March is true champion
Freddie Head has described Marchand D'Or as "an extraordinary horse" following his third straight Group 1 victory of the season in the Abbaye.
The 5yo added a first top-level victory over 5f to his wins over 6f in the July Cup and 6½f in the Maurice de Gheest.
Head said: "He is an extraordinary horse. There has not been a genuine champion sprinter for some years now, but this season he is the best by far."
Mile is Gold option
The Breeders' Cup Mile has emerged as the likely destination for dual Group 1 winner Goldikova in Santa Anita.
Trainer Freddie Head said: "We haven't made a final decision about her but I think we are going to go for the Mile. But nothing is definite yet."
Regarding QEII disappointment Tamayuz, the French handler added: "I haven't made a decision on whether Tamayuz will run again this season."
