McNamara rates Sea
Andrew McNamara feels Tranquil Sea and Alaivan are his two best chances of glory at the Cheltenham Festival.
The Irish jockey teams up with the Edward O'Grady-trained duo in the Ryanair Chase on Thursday and the JCB Triumph Hurdle on Friday respectively.
He told At The Races: "All's very well with Tranquil Sea. He did a piece of work on Saturday and I didn't ride him, but I saw him. He was in great form."
Pace OK for Alaivan
Andrew McNamara believes Alaivan has a first-rate chance in the JCB Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham on Friday.
The jockey said: "I think we got the tactics wrong (when beaten by Carlito Brigante). There was no pace in the race, so we decided to make our own.
"It just didn't work out and I rode him differently the next day. I don't think the pace is going to pose much of a problem at Cheltenham."
