Philip Hobbs believes Qaspal will need plenty of luck just to get a run at Cheltenham despite his battling victory in Saturday's Imperial Cup at Sandown.

The gelding is in two races and would pick up a £75,000 bonus from Paddy Power were he to win either, but he needs horses above him to drop out.

The trainer said: "He'll be lucky to get a run at Cheltenham by the look of it. We'll have to see what happens."
