The Ting Tings are to start work on their new album in January.

Jules De Martino told Teletext: "The last record took three or four months to write, and we're looking at a similar time for the next one."

Katie White added: "I tried learning bass to help on the new songs. I'm good on rhythm guitar, but I quickly worked out bass is not my instrument. That won't affect the new songs too much."
