Financial experts at councils
Emergency teams have been sent into three local councils facing financial difficulties because they have cash blocked in collapsed Icelandic banks.
The unnamed authorities are among 13 which may face problems, although the Government insisted there is no reason to think services are at risk.
In another 10 councils, specialists are establishing contact, fact-finding and offering support, the Government added.
