TV doctor admits plagiarism

TV psychiatrist Raj Persaud has admitted using plagiarised material in a book and articles he wrote.

The doctor, famed for appearances on daytime TV shows such as This Morning, admitted plagiarising four articles for his book From The Edge Of The Couch.

A GMC misconduct hearing in Manchester was told he also admitted passing off other scholars' work as his own in journals and national newspapers.

No sympathy for train robber
DR (2/7) misses the point. The sentences given to the Great Train Robbers reflected the seriousness with which society then viewed the crime and the comparison with sentences today is irrelevant. This was, after all, robbery with violence.
