Graduate employment shock
Unemployment among recent graduates is higher than the national average, figures from the Higher Education Statistics Agency have revealed.
They show the proportion of people "assumed to be unemployed" six months after graduation has fallen from 6.1% in 2005/06 to 5.6% in 2006/07.
However, that figure is still higher than the national unemployment rate, which stands at 5.2%.
