Child flu jabs 'protect all'

Giving children a flu vaccination could reduce the spread of the bug among older people, research suggests.

The Health Protection Agency said an annual jab for children aged under five - prolific spreaders of the virus - may help protect the whole population.

But the side-effects of the vaccination in children are not yet known and in 2005 jab experts urged more research before children are immunised with it.
