Anniversary of Rhys murder
Today marks the first anniversary of the death of Liverpool schoolboy Rhys Jones, who was shot through the neck as he walked home from football training.
The football-mad 11-year-old was cradled at the scene in Croxteth Park by his mother Melanie, 42, who rushed to the spot in a friend's car.
No official events involving the family have been planned but it is thought they will privately visit Rhys's grave.
