Cherie Blair has revealed how her husband made public the fact she had lost the baby she was carrying in order not to cause a panic over Iraq.
In her autobiography, she describes how Tony Blair and his press chief Alastair Campbell insisted the press be told.
They feared the cancelling of the Blair family holiday without saying why might spark speculation that an invasion of Iraq was imminent, Mrs Blair said.
