FTSE's worst week since 2002
The UK's biggest companies slid to more stock market losses in the worst week for the FTSE 100 Index since 2002.
The declines end a recent revival and come amid deepening fears over the global economy, a falling pound and record slumps in house prices.
The Footsie tumbled 7% this week, the worst fall since July 2002, bringing stocks into "bear market" territory, more than 20% below October's peak.
