MoD covered up Iraq crash
The MoD covered up the truth about the destruction of an RAF Hercules by Iraqi insurgents to stop the enemy claiming a propaganda victory, a report discloses.
The plane was struck by two bombs as it landed in Maysan province last February but all 64 people on board escaped.
The MoD said there were no signs of enemy action. A Board of Inquiry report praises the "sound and well-reasoned approach" to releasing information.
