Top officer to probe MP leaks

A top police officer has been appointed by the Metropolitan Police to review the handling of the inquiry into Home Office leaks, Scotland Yard said.

Met Police Acting Commissioner Sir Paul Stephenson has asked British Transport Police Chief Constable Ian Johnston to report to him within seven days.

Investigators who arrested Tory MP Damian Green will consult the CPS about further steps in the inquiry.
