Social care funding gap
Gordon Brown is launching a consultation on how to fund future social care for an ageing population.
With the system in England facing an £6bn funding gap in the next 20 years, he will seek to reassure those who fear losing their home to pay for care.
He will say that the Government needs to make it easier for people to be cared for in their own homes so that fewer have to move out.
