Sats results 'unreliable'
Parents should not rely on Sats results as the sole indicator of their child's progress amid concerns at the quality of the marking, head teachers said.
Mick Brookes, general secretary of the National Association of Head Teachers, said colleagues are reporting "all kinds of problems" with the marking.
He has urged schools to give parents teachers' assessments of pupils and treat Sats results as "provisional".
