Data storage plans condemned
Plans to gather and record millions of pieces of information about everyone's internet and telephone habits have been condemned as "Orwellian".
Measures to allow Government agencies access to e-mails, internet and phone calls are an "exponential increase in the powers of the state", Tories said.
Labour MP Keith Vaz said he will ask the home affairs select committee, which he chairs, to review the plans.
