Blair 'told to sack Brown'
John Prescott has revealed how he once told former PM Tony Blair he should sack Gordon Brown if he could no longer tolerate his behaviour.
In his autobiography, the ex-Deputy PM says Mr Blair rejected the idea as he knew it would tear Labour apart.
He also says he spent much of his time in Government acting as a conciliator between the two men, with "hundreds" of meetings on "Blair-Brown issues".
