Bank data found on eBay PC

An investigation has been launched after a computer holding up to one million high street bank customers' details was sold on eBay for £35.

It was sold by an employee of Mail Source, which holds financial data for firms, and contains account numbers of customers of banks including NatWest.

Mail Source blamed an "honest mistake" by the worker, and the Information Commissioner's Office is investigating.
